Found a number that looks wrong?

That is the message we most want to get. Tell us the page and the figure, and we will trace it back to the source file. If the site is wrong we fix it; if the source itself carries the figure, we will point you to the exact file and cell so you can see where it comes from. Either way you get an answer, not a form letter.

Other reasons to write

• Suggest a trade or a state we should add next.
• Ask how a figure is defined or where it comes from — the short version is on the data page, but specific questions are welcome.
• Point out a state licensing rule that has changed, with a link to the board that changed it.

What we cannot do

We cannot give career, legal or financial advice, tell you whether a specific school or apprenticeship is worth it, or answer questions about your own licensing case — for that, contact the state board linked from your state's page. We report public data; the boards make the rules.

Replies come from a person, not a bot, so they are not instant. Messages that are clearly spam or unrelated do not get a reply.
